The GM-603 Water Temperature Meter is a reliable engine coolant temperature gauge designed to monitor engine operating temperature in 24V electrical systems.

Featuring a clear black dial with yellow temperature markings, a high-temperature red warning zone and a white indicator needle, this gauge allows drivers and operators to monitor engine temperature easily.

With a temperature measuring range of 40°C to 120°C, it is suitable for monitoring engine cooling systems in a wide range of commercial, agricultural, industrial and other 24V-powered vehicles and machinery.

Temperature Measuring Range

The gauge measures engine coolant temperature between:

• Minimum displayed temperature: 40°C
• Mid-range reference: 80°C
• Maximum displayed temperature: 120°C
• The red section on the dial indicates the high-temperature warning area.

This allows the operator to monitor engine temperature and identify potentially excessive operating temperatures.

Installation / Wiring

Rear terminals (GM-603)

• S: temperature sender wire
• Middle terminal: earth / chassis ground (−)
• + terminal: to the ignition switch, then to battery +24V (fuse recommended in the supply line)
• Black cylinder on top (Twist-in Light): dashboard illumination bulb holder. It is not an ignition connection.

Step-by-step installation

1. Disconnect the battery (negative first) before starting any work.
2. Confirm the vehicle has a 24V DC system and that the temperature sender is compatible with this gauge. This gauge is not for direct connection to a 12V system.
3. Fit the gauge in a 52mm (2 1/16 inch) mounting hole and secure it with the bridge (U-bracket) clamp and the two mounting studs.
4. Fit the temperature sender into the engine water outlet or coolant thread, using a suitable sealant, so that it reads the coolant temperature.
5. Connect the sender wire to terminal S.
6. Connect the middle terminal to earth / chassis ground (−).
7. Connect the + terminal to the ignition switch, which is fed from battery +24V, with a fuse in the supply line.
8. If you want the dial lit, fit a bulb in the Twist-in Light holder (black cylinder on top). This is the illumination bulb holder only and is not the ignition feed.
9. Check that all connections are tight and insulated, then reconnect the battery.
10. Switch the ignition on and check that the needle moves as the engine warms up.
